SDPI HELD STATE CONFERENCE IN WEST BENGAL

Social Democratic Party of India conducted its first state conference in Berhampur town, District headquarters of Murshidbad District, today. About ten thousand people gathered in Young Men Association Maidan, despite road blocks and traffic rearrangements made by Police, owing to Chief Minister’s visit to the town. Party workers from the nook and corners of Murshidabad and the nearby two districts poured in to the Berhampur city by 2 O’ Clock in the noon. Presence of Muslim women in large numbers among the audience was a rare experience for the city. A courtesy visit by about fifty guests from Jharkandd also cached notice.

Mr. Thaeedul Islam, State President, chaired the function. Mr. E Aboobacker National President inaugurated the public meeting. In his speech Mr. Aboobacker pointed out that villages in the state, where Muslims and Dalits are the inhabitants, are not provided with facilities like roads, schools, electricity and hospitals comparing to the villages of upper castes.Political party leaders have looted away the wealth of the nation and deposited in foreign banks. Lakhs of crores of rupees are involved in the scam stories coming out in regular intervals. This amount is sufficient to clear the foreign debt of the country. This amount is sufficient to put an end to the hunger of our children. MR E Aboobacker urged the people to wake up and work for their uplift ment as well as the upliftment of the nation. Sayeed and Mohamed Omer Khan National General Secretaries, Maulana Usman Beigh President All India Imam’s Council, Hafiz Mansoor National Secretary, MRSAliya Parveen State Working Committee Member, MR Shahabuddin President Popular Front of India West Bengal state unitspoke.

MR Sudip Biswas, Leader of Bengal Dalit Sena, who addressed the gathering declared that he has dissolved his party and joined SDPI. He formally entered the party receiving flag from the National President.
